Biography of Antonio Marras
Antonio Marras is an Italian fashion designer who first made a name for himself in the fashion industry in 1987.
Marras never studied fashion design in specialized schools, but his unstoppable need for self-expression and a bit of luck helped him break into the global fashion scene.
Marras was born on January 21, 1961 in Alghero, a large city on the west coast of Sardinia, Italy.
He grew up surrounded by fabric scraps and remnants in his father's workshop, developing a passion and keen understanding of textiles from an early age. One day, he convinced an entrepreneur from Rome to entrust him with creating a ready-to-wear clothing collection.
In July 1996, Marras made his debut in haute couture.
